Manager, Health & Safety
Position Overview:
Provides leadership and direction for the Supply Chain and Franchise Operations Occupational Health and Safety Management with supervisory of Sn. Safety Manager. Translates Global Coca-Cola Company priorities and direction to ensure employees safety, as input in bottlers’ operations Safety strategies and follows on their implementation continuously
The role has a significant influence and interaction with all bottlers operations safety and supply chain functions, with corporate and other Operating Units (OU) safety teams. This position executes and supports OU activities on setting and alignment of safety targets across Eurasia Middle East OU territories and leads activities for their implementation against the agreed Coca-Cola Company commitments; manages all Safety reporting activities from bottling operations and OU to corporate, ensuring accuracy and timely execution; supports OU decision making on innovation pipeline with Safety risk assessment of key innovation initiatives together with Sn. Safety Manager. Develops, maintains and execute OU governance in Occupational Health and Safety area.
- Support the long-term OU (Operating Unit) Occupational S&H vision, drive engagement with the system partners and lead OU S&H planning to achieve goals.
- Ensure accelerated progress of the S&H systems and programs while ensuring best-in-class leadership through partnership, governance and innovation across the B4L supply chains.
- Ensure Zero is possible Safety Strategy is in place and implemented across OU territories with all programs
- Deploy OU RTM Strategy across all territories
- Ensure KORE safety requirements, OU governance is in place in line with the global governance framework requirements.
- Communicate and train bottling operations on the OU requirements; support and validate their effective implementation. Develop, publish and maintain OU HEALTH&SAFETY requirements within the OU QSE Governance model.
- Follow and track % of safety accomplishment of corporate audits and management systems (ISO 45001) accomplishment.
- Support S&H Incident Management and Crisis Resolution (IMCR) at OU level and ensure lessons learned are captured proactively across the entire global S&H networked organization.
- Actively communicate and implement the Coca-Cola Company global safety programs in the operations.
- Implement a plan based on development and organizational capability with focus on route to market strategies (RTM) with stakeholders
- Align and implement globally agreed metrics to monitor performance in Safety area with local operations.
- Establish and maintain process for routine performance review of Safety KBIs on OU and local level.
- Drive improvement plans development in Safety area and actively support their execution on OU and local level.
- Develop solutions for data management and reporting of Safety KBIs.
- Contribute to define S&H OU/regional governance and drive partners/business development initiatives
- Lead the occupational safety and health culture transformation to ensure excellence is a core value embedded in everything we do across the system together with Sn. Safety Manager.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree, in area of Food, Chemical, Environmental, Safety Engineering, Food Science, or Biochemistry or similar.
- Preferred: Advanced Degree in Food Technology or Chemistry/Chemical, Environmental, Safety Engineering or Science
Related Work Experience:
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting in oil/Chemical Industry or Pharmaceutical Field or FMCG
- +5 years of direct safety management experience; managerial role in a field facility or Q/S/E governance team.
- Experience in beverage industry, packaging or ingredient manufacturing operations, with good knowledge of relevant Quality, Safety aspects.
