Production – Filler operator – nights
The Elopak filler is an extended shelf-life filler (ESL) designed to produce products in a gable top carton. The operator is responsible for operating the gable top ESL filling machine and various pieces of downstream equipment to efficiently produce a quality package and deliver it to the warehouse team. The Elopak filler forms, sanitizes, fills, and seals the container all in one machine. This position requires the operator to have a thorough understanding of ESL processes, carton integrity, and testing methodologies. The quality checks that ensure the integrity of the container are critical to this position.

Safely operate the Elopak ESL filling machines to form, sanitize, fill, and seal gable top cartons (GTC) according to company requirements and industry specifications.

Understand ESL processes, carton integrity, and testing methodologies. Quality checks that ensure the integrity of the CTC container are critical to this position.

Ensure accurate labeling and packaging of the products, as well as correctly recording all production data.

Frequent lifting of 41-lb boxes of cartons (flats) while loading the machine. Lifting of 25-lb boxes of fitments (caps) while filling the cap hoppers.

Strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of Elopak filling processes and procedures

Quickly detect and resolve any machine malfunctions or product defects

Follow instructions and work both as an individual and part of a team

Reliable and be able to work in a fast-paced environment complying with all safety policies and procedures

Maintain equipment and area cleanliness including C.I.P/S.I.P. to ensure compliance with all GMP standards.

Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment including immediately reporting safety issues to your supervisor.

Perform all CIP duties including chemical testing and documentation as assigned

Perform all essential job functions and work instructions following company standards identified for this position.
Minimum Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Must have mechanical aptitude, basic understanding of production environments and a working knowledge of industrial machinery/equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand instructions given in English. Must be able to understand and follow both written and verbal directions. Must have the ability to read equipment OEM manuals and operator instructions with comprehension.
Ability to perform basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division. Work with different units of measure, decimal places and fractions.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts or other work schedules as needed with proper notification including overtime assignments. Overtime can be both voluntary and mandatory to meet business needs.
Have ability to visually recognize defective materials and products not meeting quality specifications.
Ability to trouble-shoot production-related problems. The ability to hear machine sounds and safety warning signals to detect changes in speed, machine jams and other abnormal running conditions.
Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds with frequent lifting of 30 lbs.
Must be able to participate in job development training and cross-train on all equipment.
Must be a team player, assist co-workers and participate in Process Improvement activities.
Excellent attendance is required.
Pay Range:
$46,800 – $57,200
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
