Automation Engineer

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the objective of this role is to work in a team of engineers to support the daily operation of the Indonesia concerntrate plant.

  • Responsible of providing technical support in applicable automation system at CPS Indonesia
  • Liaise closely with global Transformation team, Engineering team, and IT team for rolling out applicable automation initiatives at CPS Indonesia
  • In charge of performing corrective and preventive measures and action in order to keep the system healthy
  • Acting as central point of local-simple automation system developer
  • Acting as plant’s Subject Matter Expert for automation, providing training and knowledge to the team
  • Compliance to any standard and regulation applied to CPS Indonesia, not limited to: KORE, Food Safety, Halal, EHS, ISO.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing Technical Support in automation system
  • Troubleshooting hardware/Software issues related to automation
  • Providing correct maintenance approach to all automation component/system
  • Acting as central point of local-simple automation developer
  • Liaising with Global automation team for any project development or top-down/bottom-up idea

Requirement:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Electronics / Mechatronics / Automation Engineering or equivalent
  • Language: Fluent level of English, both verbal and oral
  • Computer literacy in O365 environment
  • Min 2 years of prior working experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in Food/Beverage Processing, Bio-Tech, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Semiconductor or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
  • Configuration, maintenance and experience of the following would be advantageous:Allen-Bradley PLC's, SIMENS PLC, Beckhoff PLC, Omron PLC, Schneider TAC Vista, ABB pick masters, etc.
  • In depth knowledge of Ethernet and other network based I/O systems preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of Unified Name Space, Ignition, Data Lake, etc.
  • In depth knowledge of RPA, Neural Network, and any other automation type.
  • Expertise with HMI software including FT View and Wonderware is preferred.
  • Experience in VMware, SAN storage preferred
  • Knowledge of machine safety requirements preferred.
  • Able to interpret technical manual, drawings, equipment manuals and compliance to operating procedures
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Perform rotating shifts and overtime when required
  • In dept knowledge of programming in various system and language
