Director, Juice category – LA OU

This requires innovation, marketing efficiency and effectiveness. As a Category manager you’ll serve as a primary strategic advisor to deliver best in class insights. You’ll be able to actively influence system decision making with fact-based and category-centric thought leadership.  The candidate will have a passion for analyzing and developing relationships to build strategies and tactics designed for future category growth. 
This position supporting business growth through brand portfolio; identifying opportunities to grow market, managing relationships with bottlers and leading the stem in the execution of Brand strategy. Activities include developing and implementing marketing strategies; monitoring customer and competitor activity and industry trends; market research, and merchandising activities; business development activities; and developing and implementing marketing campaigns.

Position Overview:

  • Lead Juices portfolio strategy across LATAM (focus on refreshment segment) and develop plan to reach category goals.
  • Lead & develop Global projects and interact with other OUs (Operating Units).
  • Influence positively the system to bring to live Juices strategy across LATAM OU.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively collaborates globally & LATAM OU level in order to create synergies, implement and share best practices. 
  • Identify and articulate opportunities as part of the annual category situation assessment process, including recommending space opportunities and risks for the category. 
  • Analyzes and understands market trends and social forces to bring insights to the category.
  • Develops end-to-end solutions with a deep understanding of each step of the value chain 
  • Secures correct and timely implementation of the portfolio approach, brand plans and programs in collaboration with other key functions. 
  • Leads and influences teams to execute the Operating Unit plan at scale whilst also supporting with any locally led activity or amplification. 

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance or related field. 

Related Work Experience:
8+ years in consumer goods brand management roles or retail customer experience. 

English and Spanish are required;

Functional Skills:

  • Experience in developing actionable results from category, space management and shopper insights. 
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced analytical capability with customer level data. 
  • Experience in strategic planning and portfolio management. 
  • Proven oral and written communication, storytelling, and influencing skills. 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and assignments.
