Summer Flavor & Ingredient Application Intern

Position Overview:
Validate the functional ingredient & flavor systems impact, stability in one test beverage format, application & summarize the results, outcome.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate the functional ingredient use in one ‘test’ beverage format. Develop DOE with key critical attributes and evaluate the hypothesis in the ‘test’ beverage.
  • Study the stability and analytical parameters for the beverage.
  • Identify the key category and competitive samples similar to the study product & the beverage characteristics.
  • Evaluate the flavors and impacts for the beverage and range of applications.
  • Evaluate the processing, heating, acidification, mixing processes & impacts.
  • Present findings at conclusion of internship.

Education Requirements:

  • BS degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology (preferred)
  • Currently pursuing a graduate degree (MS of PhD) in Food Science or STEM related field.

Related Work Experience:

  • Experience in food science and beverage preparations, measurement techniques required
  • Experience with sensory and/or analytical science measurements will be preferred
  • Knowledgeable in analyzing, evaluation, developing summary, reports.

Functional Skills:

  • Food science, beverage preparations, beverage processing, lab equipment usage, handling.
  • MS Office and Presentation experience
Education Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s and not graduating before December 2025.

Monthly Compensation: Undergraduate $4,506 | Graduate $6,066
